As humans we all share a weakness – our minds are easily manipulated through repetition. It is this weakness that politicians and the media use to control their followers. This manipulation technique is called proof by assertion. Basically when a trusted source repeats a lie enough times it becomes comfortable to our ears and at that point it becomes truth. Sometimes it even becomes our own thought. This is how opinion media and political pundits get their followers to repeat their lies and spin ad nauseam.

Opinion media is not a true news source. They do not follow the standards of journalism (truthfulness, accuracy, objectivity, impartiality, fairness and public accountability). Opinion media uses proof by assertion to mold and shape their followers into believing that they are defined by their politics. They create the illusion that only liberals have certain beliefs and conservatives have others. They create a world of black and white – a world where people who are not like you are un-American. They create a divided nation and in doing so are traitors to their country.

Another aspect of their control is to have a common enemy. Without an enemy there’s no fight. Opinion media creates an opposition to rally their followers against (Liberals, Conservatives, Christians, atheists, gays, the Tea Party, OWS, ACORN, your President, Wall Street, the rich, the poor, illegals, blacks, Muslims… etc). Basically they turn you against your fellow man.

The last piece of the puzzle is to keep their followers in a constant state of fear, anger and agitation. This is accomplished by creating a barrage of non-issues and accusations through sensationalism, and almost all of these non-issues are things that you have absolutely no control over. Once in this agitated state they have you, because when you are kept in an agitated state you will more easily believe anything you are told.

If you are in deep with Opinion Media you are probably calling BS. You are too strong to be manipulated or brainwashed. Only week minds get manipulated. I ask you this. How come the “opposition” believes the lies that you can so clearly see? It is because they are being manipulated through repetition by people they trust. The same way that you are. The sooner you realize this the quicker you can break the negative bonds of opinion media.
